The witch showed the snake where she had been gathering the flowers. The snake was delighted--now he didn't need his slave anymore to get him the flowers--now he could enjoy them in their original place, in the grass.
But if he didn't need his slave anymore, then why keep the human alive? He pondered this while burying his snout in the flowers while the smaller animals ran away, terrified.
